Manchester United fans can now be relieved as David de Gea put pen to paper on a new 5-year deal with the club.
Real Madrid have been pursuing Spain's number one goalkeeper for a very long time but they have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Chelsea's number one keeper Thibaut Courtois and this could be the best news of the summer for Manchester United. David de Gea has been Manchester United's most important player for the last few years, he has saved Jose Mourinho's side many times and many points.
Spanish goalkeeper has risen to become a hugely popular figure at Old Trafford, and rightly so, he is arguably the best goalkeeper in the world and as a result he was voted the Supporters Player of the Year. The 27-year old was key in Manchester United's second place finish last year in the Premier League which saw him keep 18 clean sheets and claim the premiere league golden glove and will be hoping to lead them to the crown next season.
